Hello from Southern Spain! I am spending some family vacation time in Spain and it has been absolutely incredible. The scenery, the sea, the culture, the food are all encompassing. I can't help but wear bright colored clothes under the Spanish sun. I am not a very tall woman more like medium height so I mostly stray away from maxi dresses but this one grabbed my attention due its vibrant color and print. I tried it on and without needing any alternations it seemed to be perfect. So if you are thinking to try something new this summer, I highly recommend an easy, breezy, bright maxi dress. They are effortless to wear and can be worn from day to night during long summer days. I must mention that these photos were taken by my twelve year old goddaughter. Considering it was the first time ever she took on a photography endeavor, I think she did a wonderful job, don't you? Let the summer fun begin and have a wonderful weekend. XOXO
Tunics are great versatile pieces to wear in the summer. They can be casually worn with shorts or with bikinis as beach cover-ups. For summer I especially like them in bright colors. I call this color combination (below): lemon and lime. It reminds me of summer's citrusy, fresh drinks. Happy June everyone. XOXO
Summer is upon us and dresses are officially getting shorter on girls. I usually stick to just above the knee length but this beautiful, mini shift dress tempted me to experiment with a shorter length. The beautiful sequined embellishment on it is: oh so perfect for a cocktail hour or a party. One can wear it with dressy flat shoes or heels. The Yves Saint Laurent shoes I chose to wear it with are ubiquitous to my summer wardrobe so you will see it incorporated in a lot of my summer outfits. Shift dresses are one of my favorites. I find them very flattering and easy to wear. They can either be worn in the winter with thick tights or in the summer when one wants a quick, effortless dress look. Here is a shift dress in one of my favorite designer styles, Catherine Malandrino. I find this style to be quite versatile. Depending on how one accessories it, it can be worm during day or evening.
